B44.0: Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis

You have a lung disorder caused by molds.

There are molds everywhere in our environment. When we come into contact with molds our defense system usually destroys them. However, these molds can sometimes spread to our body. This can happen when the defense system is weak, for example. The defense system can be weakened by certain illnesses or medicines.

In your case a mold has spread to your lungs.

The mold has inflamed your lungs. You can then get a cough, for example, and have breathing problems. You can also have a high fever and feel very sick.
