You have been infected by certain pathogens that propagate in red blood cells.
Ticks usually transmit the pathogens from mice or cattle to humans.
Someone who is infected feels unwell and tired. They can have a high temperature, headaches and muscle soreness. Their eyes or skin may also look yellow. Someone with a weak defense system can then become seriously ill.
