B75: Trichinellosis
You have been infected with trichina.
Trichina are small worms that are ingested when eating. Infection can be caused by meat that has not been properly cooked, for example. When someone has been infected, the worms can reproduce in the body and produce a great many larvae. These larvae then become entrenched in the muscles of the body. When someone is infected, they may feel sick, vomit or have diarrhea. A serious infection may involve a high temperature, facial swelling and muscular pain. The heart muscle, lungs and brain may also become inflamed.
