You have cancer of the immune cells.
The tissue in the body is made up of cells. With cancer, the cells multiply uncontrollably, which leads to a malignant neoplasm (abnormal growth of tissue) developing. The cancer cells can destroy the healthy tissue and spread throughout the body.
The immune cells are part of the blood cells and are formed in the bone marrow. Some of the immune cells are in the blood, some are in different organs. There are many immune cells in the spleen, the lymph nodes and in the skin. There are various kinds of immune cells. You can have different symptoms depending on which immune cells are changed.
Your cancer has been treated. Your symptoms have decreased as a result.
