Your pancreas is not creating the correct amount of messenger substances (hormones).

The pancreas produces various messenger substances for the body. For example, messenger substances influence the sugar level in the blood, gastric acid formation or gastrointestinal activity. Various pancreas disorders cause too many or too few of certain messengers to be produced. Depending on which messenger substance is affected, you may have various symptoms.
