E54: Ascorbic acid deficiency

You have been found to have a lowered vitamin C value.

Vitamins are substances the body needs for many tasks. The body is unable produce most vitamins by itself. These vitamins must be taken in through food.

If you have insufficient vitamin C in your body, your gums may bleed. Your teeth may also fall out. Small hemorrhages in the skin may occur. These hemorrhages look like small red spots. Wounds may take longer to heal. Discomfort of the bones and joints can occur. It is also possible to have other symptoms.

There is a lot of vitamin C for instance in citrus fruits, parsley and paprika.
