E63.0: Essential fatty acid [EFA] deficiency

You have been found to have a deficiency of important fatty acids.

The body cannot create certain fatty acids itself. These fatty acids must be absorbed via food. The special fatty acids are contained in vegetable oils or particular fish, for example. The special fatty acids are important for cell growth. If you have too few of these fatty acids in your body, you may for instance be more susceptible to inflammation caused by pathogens. Sometimes the blood pressure also rises or the skin changes.
