E75.5: Other lipid storage disorders

You have a congenital disease where certain fats build up in the body. Tissue is probably damaged by these deposits.

The disease is hereditary. Other family members may thus also be affected.

With this disease, you may have various symptoms as a child already. That depends on which area in the body is predominantly affected by the disease. If fats are deposited in internal organs, the affected organs may become enlarged or no longer work properly. Your mental faculties may also be impaired and you might behave differently than normal. It is also possible that you will not be able to control your movements properly. Your bones may not grow properly. If you have this disease, you may be severely ill.

Additional indicator

On medical documents, the ICD code is often appended by letters that indicate the diagnostic certainty or the affected side of the body.

  • G: Confirmed diagnosis
  • V: Tentative diagnosis
  • Z: Condition after
  • A: Excluded diagnosis
  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
