E83.31: Vitamin-D-resistant
You have been found to have a vitamin D deficiency. You have bone discomfort due to the vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D is important for bone hardness, for example. Calcium and phosphate are stored in the bones by vitamin D. Bone thus hardens. Vitamin D moreover has effects on the intestines, skin or blood cells.
The body can create vitamin D itself. Sunlight is required for that. The intestines, liver and kidneys are involved in creating vitamin D. You can also take vitamin D with food. However, this only makes up a small part of your body’s vitamin D.
You have bone discomfort due to the vitamin D deficiency. If you are growing and have too little vitamin D, your bones may not grow properly. The bones may then not grow evenly or be too soft and break. In adults, the bones may be softer and break more easily.
