F42.2: Mixed obsessional thoughts and acts

You have a compulsion to keep doing and thinking certain things.

You are having to do things over and over again. If the person fails to perform the compulsive action, they are extremely tense or they get anxious. You also keep having certain thoughts.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a mental illness. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is where a person thinks or does things compulsively over and over again. These thoughts or actions cannot be avoided. They can be unpleasant and appear nonsensical.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder can affect what a person thinks and does, and how they act with other people. This condition has a range of different physical and mental causes.
