F62.1: Enduring personality change after psychiatric illness
Your personality has changed after a mental illness.
Everyone has personal characteristics that are deeply rooted. The personality involves certain patterns: how one things, feels and behaves. Personal characteristic patterns can exist that can cause problems in one’s work and social environment. This usually happens when behavioral patterns and thought patterns differ greatly from those of the majority of the population.
You have a mental disorder. As a result, your personality and behavior have changed over a long period of time. You may be dependent on other people, and withdraw socially. You may also be less interested in old hobbies, and your own mood may be different. You may also have high expectations and be more demanding of others. A changed personality can cause problems in your everyday life and your social circle.
