F90.8: Other hyperkinetic disorders
Your attentiveness and your urge to move about are impaired as part of a disorder.
You probably find it hard to concentrate on something for a long time. You are probably easily distracted and do many different things quickly, one after the other. With this type of disorder, the person often finds it difficult to wait. They often act spontaneously and without thinking. They also find it difficult to sit still and they need to constantly be on the move. Their mood may also change frequently.
The disorder begins in childhood. As an adolescent or adult, the person probably often feels restless due to this disorder. On the other hand, they no longer move around as much as they did as a child. There may be a tendency to forget things. The person finds it difficult to plan and organize everyday affairs.

On medical documents, the ICD code is often appended by letters that indicate the diagnostic certainty or the affected side of the body.
