H18.3: Changes in corneal membranes

The cornea of your eye has changed.

The cornea is located at the front of the eye. It is transparent and curved. The curvature focuses light in the eye. This is vital to be able to see clearly. The cornea is made up of several very thin layers.

There is a tough layer at the back of the cornea. This layer of the cornea of your eye has changed. For example, the layer may fold or tear.
