J85.0: Gangrene and necrosis of lung
You have dead tissue in your lungs.
You need lungs to breath. When we breathe in, oxygen enters the lungs and accumulates in the blood. This blood then flows to the heart. The heart then pumps the oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. All of the organs are supplied with oxygen as a result.
You have dead tissue in your lungs. As a result, a hole has formed in your lungs. This hole is filled with pus and dead cells. The tissue is dead because specific pathogens have gotten into your lungs. The pathogens have damaged the tissue in the lungs. The pathogens are usually bacteria.
