You have too little oxygen in your blood.

You may have had this condition for a long time or it might be more recent.

You need lungs to breath. When we breathe in, oxygen enters the lungs and accumulates in the blood. This blood then flows to the heart. The heart then pumps the oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. All of the organs are supplied with oxygen as a result.

Your lungs may have been taking in too little oxygen for a long time.

The reasons for this may lie in the lungs themselves, for example, or in another organ.
