K52.2: Allergic and dietetic gastroenteritis and colitis
Your stomach or intestines are inflamed. The inflammation was caused by an allergy.
With an allergy, the immune system overreacts to certain substances. Such substances may be harmless substances in the environment, drugs or certain chemicals, for example. Triggers of an allergy can for instance be specific substances in foods. If you take these substances, your stomach and intestines can become inflamed.
As a result of the inflammation in your stomach or intestines, you may have diarrhea and abdominal pain.
