Stem cells are cells that can develop into different types of cells. For example, blood cells can develop from stem cells. Stem cells are found in the blood and inside some bones.
Recently you were given stem cells from another person.
You had also received immune cells with these stem cells. In your case, the gastrointestinal mucous membrane was damaged by the foreign defense cells.
Gastrointestinal damage may cause you to have diarrhea, for example. You may also have severe abdominal pain or problems with your bowel movement.
