L43.9: Lichen planus, unspecified

Your skin has been inflamed for a long time.

You have lichen planus. With this condition, the body’s own immune system is often not working properly. The skin condition may be caused by contact with pathogens or by skin injuries, for example. Your skin has become inflamed as result.

Typically, flat bumps or papules with a reddish color appear on the skin. These areas can be itchy.

The bumps often fade away again after one to two years.
