L63.1: Alopecia universalis
You are losing hair all over your body.
You have lost all the hair on your body. The hairless skin is often pale, but not otherwise damaged. Often it is only the colored hairs that fall out. The hairs that grow afterwards are often colorless.
Disorders of the body’s own immune system are often responsible for the hair loss. Inflammations caused by pathogens may also play a part. If the hair loss is only affecting small areas, they recover within a few months without any treatment.
