L95.0: Livedoid vasculitis

You have a skin condition where the skin on the leg has changed.

This condition can cause the skin to turn red or bluish. The discolorations have a net-like pattern. Deep wounds may also form on the affected skin. The deep wounds can be very painful. Parts of the skin in the deep wounds can also die off.

As the skin lesions heal, parts of the changed skin may turn white and hard. The skin may be thinner than usual there.

The skin lesions are mainly found on the ankles and other areas of the legs.

The exact cause of this condition is not yet known. However, what is known is that this condition causes the blood in the small blood vessels of the skin to clot more easily than normal. This causes clumps of clotted blood to form that can clog blood vessels.
