M11.20: Other chondrocalcinosis Multiple sites
Crystals have been deposited in some of your joints where they are causing inflammation.
An inflammation in the joints can cause various symptoms. Typical is a swollen, painful joint. The skin above the joint may also be red. It may also no longer be possible to move the joint as usual.
Crystals can form when the content of certain minerals in the blood changes. In your case, the mineral content has changed because of a metabolic disease.
