A joint between your pelvis and your spine is inflamed.
The sacrum is part of the spine, and a joint connects it to the pelvic bone on both sides. There is very little movement in these joints because they are stabilized by tight ligaments.
When this joint is inflamed, the location may be painful. It may also be that you are unable to move your back properly and that you avoid particular movements.
