M62.12: Other rupture of muscle (nontraumatic) Upper arm

You have one or more torn muscles in your upper arm or elbow.

Muscles are made up of many long cells. These cells form the muscle fibers. A muscle tear can involve the tearing of individual muscle fibers or of the entire muscle. Muscles can tear as a result of various disorders.

When muscles or muscle fibers are torn, the affected muscles may be painful. It may also be that you are no longer able to move the affected area of your body properly.
