Muscles in your knee or lower leg have shortened.

Muscles may be shortened even before birth. They can also become shortened due to illnesses, inflammations or injuries. For example, nerve disorders or joint injuries can cause muscles to shorten.

Shortened muscles may be accompanied by pain. It may also be that you are unable to move the affected part of your body properly. Muscles can be shortened for a while or long term.
