You have one or more foreign bodies in the soft tissue in your ankle or foot.

Soft tissue includes muscles, fatty tissue and connective tissue, for example. Foreign bodies may be splinters of wood or glass, for example. These foreign bodies can get into the body as a result of an injury, for example. But foreign bodies may also be stitching materials that are left behind in the body after a medical intervention.
