M84.38: Stress fracture, not elsewhere classified Other
One or more bones in your head, neck or upper body have broken due to overloading.
When bones keep being put under great strain in the same way, small fractures can form in the bone. This is also known as a fatigue fracture. In the chest these types of breaks can occur in the ribs, for example, if you have a bad cough for a long time.
A fatigue fracture may be painful. The skin over the affected bone may be red and swollen.
