M89.59: Osteolysis Site unspecified

There has been a loss of bone tissue in one or more parts of your body.

There are various reasons why a loss of bone tissue can occur. For example, inflammation can cause a loss of bone tissue. Even if other tissue is newly forming in bones, there can be a loss of bone tissue in that area.

If there is a loss of bone tissue in an area, the bones there may become less stable. The bone may then break more easily, for example.
