One or more bones in your pelvis or thigh have changed due to polio.

Polio is a disease that is transmitted by viruses. With polio, one may no longer be able to move various muscles properly. Polio can cause the bones to become deformed or to stop growing, for example. When the bones stop growing, they may be too short.

There can be a variety of symptoms when bones are changed by polio. It may be no longer be possible to move the affected area properly. You may also have pain.
