M92.7: Juvenile osteochondrosis of metatarsus
Bone tissue in your foot has died off.
The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones. Bone tissue in one or more of your metatarsal bones has died off.
If bone tissue has died off, it can be painful. You may also no longer be able to move the affected area properly. The tissue around the affected bones may be swollen.
Bone tissue can die off if does not get a good supply of blood. If bone tissue has died off, the affected bone may become misshapen. The bone may also then stop growing as well.
