O14.2: HELLP syndrome
You have a rare disorder of pregnancy. This disorder is also known as HELLP syndrome.
This disorder can cause a variety of symptoms. Pain in the upper right side of the abdomen is typical for this disorder.
Blood is made up of a liquid part and different blood cells, among other things. The blood cells include the red blood cells, the white blood cells and the platelets. The red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs throughout the body. Platelets are important for blood clotting.
With this illness the red blood cells are also broken down too early. You also have an insufficient quantity of platelets in the blood.
Other blood test results may also be changed. Other symptoms such as nausea and blurred vision may also occur.
The condition can also affect the child.
This disorder may also only occur after the birth.
