Your unborn child is bigger or heavier than is normal for the week of pregnancy.
Ultrasound scans are done during pregnancy. These involve assessing things such as the size and weight of the unborn child.
An unborn child can be bigger or heavier than normal for different reasons. Such reasons may be infant deformities or diabetes in the mother, for example. The child can also be bigger or heavier than normal if the parents are very tall.
