O87.2: Haemorrhoids in the puerperium
One or more veins in your anus are pathologically enlarged.
The disorder occurred during your puerperium. The puerperium is the first 6 to 8 weeks after childbirth. During this period the changes that occurred during pregnancy, for example in the womb and the female genital organs, recede.
Veins are blood vessels that transport the blood back to the heart.
Enlarged veins around the anus are called hemorrhoids. These enlarged veins can be seen as soft nodes in the anus. This can involve symptoms such as itching and burning shortly after defecation.
