P81.8: Other specified disturbances of temperature regulation of newborn
In the period immediately after the birth, the baby's body temperature changed.
The baby's body temperature is always maintained as stable as possible. If necessary, heat is created or released over the body surface area for that. For various reasons, a baby's body temperature can change.
Sometimes a newborn child cannot control its body temperature properly. If a child is born premature, for example, it can sometimes become hypothermic. If a newborn child is sick, it may also have a fever.
