You have a congenital defect in your mouth area.

The oral cavity is part of the mouth. The oral cavity is the start of the respiratory tract and the digestive tract. The oral cavity is bordered by the palate above and the floor of the mouth below. To the left and right are the cheeks. In front, the mouth is bordered by the lips. The mouth contains the teeth and the tongue.

While developing in the womb, many different types of tissue develop in the body. The organs and body parts develop out of the various types of tissue. If tissue fails to develop properly, defects can occur.
