Q64.8: Other specified congenital malformations of urinary system

The urinary organs are affected by a defect.

The urinary organs include organs that form urine or excrete it from the body. Urine flows from both kidneys into the bladder via the ureters. The urethra channels the urine outward from the bladder. While developing in the womb, many different types of tissue develop in the body. The organs and body parts develop out of the various types of tissue. If the tissue does not develop properly in the womb, defects can result.
