R79.0: Abnormal level of blood mineral

The amount of trace elements in your blood has changed.

The body is dependent on certain trace elements to make certain vital processes in the body possible. These trace elements include iron, magnesium and zinc, for example. These substances are only found in traces in the body, i.e. in very small quantities. Iron is important, for example, in helping carry oxygen in the blood. The body needs magnesium, for example, for the nerves to be able to work properly. Zinc is important for the immune system or wound healing, for example.

The symptoms also depend on how long the trace element content has been changed for.
