S23.14: Dislocation of thoracic vertebra: T7/T8 and T8/T9
As a result of an injury, you have dislocated a vertebral joint.
In a joint, at least 2 bones are connected to one another. There are a number of joints in the ribcage.
The spine is made up of the individual vertebrae. Between every 2 vertebrae there is a vertebral disc. At the top and bottom of each there are 2 transverse processes. Along with the processes of adjacent vertebrae, these transverse processes form the small vertebral joints. The vertebral joints connect adjacent vertebrae to one another. The bones in a vertebral joint in the center of your thoracic spine are not properly aligned.
As a result you may have some pain or be unable to move properly. The injury may also have damaged surrounding tissue. This includes, for example, the spinal cord, the lungs, large blood vessels, and the heart.
