S27.31: Bruising and haematoma of lung
You have injured your lung.
An injury like this occurs, for example, as a result of an accident or a violent blow to the chest.
You need lungs to breath. When we breathe in, oxygen enters the lungs and accumulates in the blood. This blood then flows to the heart. The heart then pumps the oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. All of the organs are supplied with oxygen as a result.
You have bruising to your lungs. As a result, a hematoma has formed in your lungs. When you have damaged your lungs, you can have pain or breathing problems, for example.
