You have injured your ribcage.

Tendons or muscles in the chest may be damaged, for example. Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones. The skin, blood vessels or bones in the chest may also be damaged.

The symptoms depend on which part of the chest has been injured. You may have pain or bleeding. It may also be that you are no longer able to move certain parts of your body properly.
