S33.50: Sprain and strain of lumbar spine, unspecified

You have injured your lumbar spine or your pelvis. As a result, you have strained joints and ligaments.

The lumbar spine consists of 5 vertebrae. These vertebrae are connected to one another by the vertebral joints. Between the vertebrae, various ligaments stabilize the spine. The discs between the vertebrae absorb shocks. In getting injured, you have strained joints or overstretched ligaments. It may also be that the discs have come under severe strain.

As a result you may have some back pain or be unable to move properly.
