S43.1: Dislocation of acromioclavicular joint

As a result of an injury, you have dislocated a joint in your shoulder.

There are 3 bones and 2 joints in the shoulder area. The bones are the collarbone, the shoulder blade, and the humerus. The shoulder joint connects the humerus to the shoulder blade. A second joint connects the shoulder blade to the collarbone. The collarbone is also connected to the sternum by another joint.

There is a joint between the collarbone and a bony projection of the shoulder blade. In your case, the two bones are not properly aligned.

This may result in pain. It may also be that you are no longer able to move your arm properly.
