S92.4: Fracture of great toe

You have broken some bones in your foot.

At the back of the foot there are various bones, the tarsal bones. A tarsal bone and the lower leg together form the ankle joint. The ankle joint connects the foot to the lower leg. Most of the foot is made up of the metatarsal bones. The metatarsal bones are long bones between the tarsal bones and the toes. The toes consist of 3 small bones. Only the big toe consists of 2 bones. You have broken your big toe.

When you have broken bones, you can have pain, for example. Usually the foot can no longer be moved properly.
