T16: Foreign body in ear
You have one or more foreign bodies in your ear.
The ear is a sensory organ that is used to hear and to maintain one's balance. There are 3 different areas in the ear: the outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. The outer ear begins at the auricle and then becomes the external auricular canal. The end of the external auricular canal is sealed by a thin membrane. This membrane is known as the eardrum.
If you have a foreign body in your ear conch or your auditory canal, your hearing may be worse than usual. Your ear may also be painful or have a feeling of pressure. A foreign body in the ear can also cause dizziness. If a foreign body remains in the ear for a long time, inflammation can result.
