You have a burn in your shoulder area or on your arm.
Your armpit may also be affected. A burn involves tissue being damaged by severe heat. This may happen due to fire, electricity, hot liquids or gases, for example.
The skin in the affected areas may be completely dead. The tissue below the skin may also be damaged. If nerves in a specific location are badly damaged, it will no longer be possible to feel pain there.
