You have a burn on your body.

A burn involves tissue being damaged by severe heat. This may happen due to fire, electricity, hot liquids or gases, for example.

The affected areas can be swollen. Blisters may also form on the skin. Parts of the skin may also be more badly damaged. Those places may be painful.
