T32.91: Chemical burns involving 90% or more of body surface 10-19% chemical burns of third degree

At least 90 percent of the surface of your body is affected by chemical burns.

At least 10 percent of the surface of your body is affected by very deep chemical burns. When chemical burns are deep the skin may be completely dead. The tissue below the skin may also be damaged. If nerves in a specific location are badly damaged, it will no longer be possible to feel pain there.

A chemical burn involves tissue being damaged by chemical substances such as acids or alkaline solutions. The more body surface is affected, the more severe is the chemical burning.
