T37.5: Poisoning: Antiviral drugs
You have been poisoned by an anti-viral drug.
Viruses are pathogens. Anti-viral drugs include aciclovir and ganciclovir.
A drug can cause poisoning if, for example, too much of it is taken. The drug may also be administered or taken by mistake.
Depending on which anti-viral drug has caused the poisoning, there can be different symptoms. There can be nausea, for example. Headaches or dizziness may also occur. There may also be confusion. You can have seizures. The poisoning can impair kidney function.
