T87.4: Infection of amputation stump
You have inflamed tissue in the stump of part of your body that has been removed.
Part of the body can be partially or fully removed. The residual body part, still on the body, is called a stump.
Your stump has become inflamed. An inflammation can be caused by pathogens, for example. An inflammation can cause pain. The inflamed area may be red and swollen, among other things.
