U52.0: Early Rehabilitation Barthel Index [ERBI]: 31 or more

Whether or not you need support with life-essential processes was tested.

Various items in you were assessed for this purpose. For example, it was checked whether your circulation needs to be monitored. This is necessary if your blood pressure is dangerously high or low, for example. Whether or not you are artificially ventilated is also registered. In addition, an assessment of whether you can express your will or whether you can cope well is also made. Whether or not you behave in an irregular manner is also registered. This includes whether you endanger yourself or others, for example.

Each case is then assessed as to whether support is necessary. You need little or no support. For example, a device may constantly measure your blood pressure or your blood’s oxygen content. Or your breathing may be aided by a ventilator.
