Z31.1: Artificial insemination

You had artificial insemination

The egg cells mature inside the ovaries. They get into the uterus through the fallopian tubes. For a woman to get pregnant, a mature egg cell has to be fertilized by sperm.

There are different methods of artificial insemination. In your case, sperm was placed inside the uterus or in one of the fallopian tubes. A fertilized egg cell can then nest in the uterus and develop into a child.
